mawashi (loincloth) , they face each other
in a dohyo (circular ring), and push, grapple,
and try to throw each other.

-The wrestler who pushes his oppenent
to the ground or out of the ring is the WINNER!
c. When did SUMO start?
-Developed many centuries ago to its present
form to 1603-1863.
d. What's the day in the life of a SUMO wrestler like?
-Wrestlers live in a stable. The stable also houses the
stable masters, hairdressers, referees, ushers, and a
retired wrestler. SUMO wrestlers wake up from their
stable at 5:00 a.m. and train hard in hope of moving
up the ranks.
